Why Lumarix

Three things SA business software keeps getting wrong.

We built Lumarix to fix them.

Your data, your cloud

Lumarix runs on your machine and syncs through your own Google Drive or OneDrive — encrypted end-to-end before it leaves your PC. We never see your books, your customers, or your numbers.

Designed for SA, by SA

VAT 201-ready exports out the box. The SA accounting vocabulary you already know. Built around how Pastel and Xero users already work — but with the polish of software made this decade.

Works through load-shedding

Lumarix is offline-first — not "offline-tolerant", not "syncs when connection returns". Your laptop on a powered-up generator at 19:00 stage 6 is a fully functional workstation. Make sales. Send invoices. Close the day.

What's included from day one

The full trading cycle. Both sides.

Nine document types — sales and procurement — each linked by a unique tracking ID. From the quote you sent on Monday to the supplier you paid on Friday, the whole chain is one search away.

Launching late 2026
For accountants & bookkeepers

Clients on Lumarix mean fewer fires.

Three-way matching (PO → GRN → Supplier Invoice) catches supplier overcharging before it hits the books. The tracking-ID system means audit trails are searchable, not reconstructed. VAT201 figures come out the way SARS wants them in.

An accountant partner programme launches with the product.

Frequently asked

Quick answers.

When are you launching?
Late 2026. We're building, deliberately, in public.
What does it cost?
R 199 per user per month, billed monthly. No setup fees, no premium tier, no hidden add-ons. 30-day free trial when you start.
Where does my business data actually live?
On your machine first, and synced through your own Google Drive or OneDrive, encrypted before it ever leaves your computer. We hold the login system; we never hold your books.
Does it work offline?
Yes — fully. Lumarix reads and writes to a local database on your PC. The app never blocks waiting for a network. When you reconnect, changes sync silently in the background.
What about SARS & VAT201?
VAT201 export is included from launch — both OUTPUT VAT (from your customer invoices) and INPUT VAT (from supplier invoices). You enter the figures into eFiling. Direct submission is on the roadmap.
Is it just for Windows?
Windows first. Mac and web are on the roadmap if the launch goes well — the architecture is cross-platform from day one.
What if I'm a Pastel user already?
Lumarix is built around how Pastel users already think — the menu structure, the document types, the keyboard-driven flow. Pastel-to-Lumarix migration tools come a little later in the roadmap.
Who's behind Lumarix?
Reichmann Holdings (Pty) Ltd — a South African company building serious software for South African business.
